Make Your Valentine's Day Even More Meaningful by Supporting Southside Soiree

Regardless of your feelings about a "made-up holiday" it's fun to dress up and do something special every now and then. If you can have fun while supporting a great organization, that's even better!

Thus, Southside Soiree.

If you live on the south side of Atlanta, this is the place to be on Saturday, February 14, 2015. Featuring an open bar, live music, dancing, and a three-course meal, the Soiree will satisfy all your classic night-out needs. Knowing your contribution will help others in your community will help complete the enjoyment of the evening.

What is Southside Support, anyway? Southside Support, Incorporated is an fabulous parent-led organization whose mission is to link families with special needs to their communities. We provide guidance with humor and laughter creating, in turn, a safe environment. We facilitate group discussions through social media and gatherings in order to give our members a voice. We ensure our families are heard, included and involved as a vital part of our beloved community.
Personally, I've found Southside amazing. I have an online community in which I can ask questions about every weird Asperger's-related thing and not only does no one make me feel weird(er), but they can relate and either have good advice or can empathize or both. I've enjoyed the opportunity to spend time in the real world with adorable, sweet kids with a whole range of special needs.
I've spent several weekends meeting new people while helping with the Safe Space tent. I'm usually pretty content to stick to my little circle of people. Emphasis on little. Not only do I get to help other parents have the means to connect to their community, Southside is even connecting me to my community in unintended ways!

Ways you can participate in Southside Soiree:

  • Purchase a ticket (or two or ten) for yourself. Individual tickets are $125, and a couple's ticket it $225.
  • Purchase a ticket (or two or ten) to be donated to parents of special needs children. These parents are often in desperate need of a night out, and because of the cost of medical needs are usually not able to afford one.
  • Make a monetary donation. No amount is too small!
  • All of the above.
You can find more detailed information about Southside Support, Incorporated, Safe Space, and Southside Soiree at the respective websites.

Southside Support, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Your donations (and Soiree ticket purchases!) are always tax deductible.
